Coyote’s Crazy Smart Science Show celebrates the genius of Indigenous knowledge, featuring Indigenous children and youth investigating how the world works. At Coyote Science, we encourage our young people to be scientists, mathematicians, engineers and even astronauts, as they draw on their own Indigenous science knowledge to make a better world and keep Indigenous communities strong.

AND WE WANT TO SHARE THIS KNOWLEDGE WITH EVERYONE!

Isa is curious about the world and always seeking knowledge. She wants Indigenous children to know they are guided by the cultural knowledge of their people. Isa encourages Indigenous children and youth, and their friends, to believe in themselves and to believe in the power of learning. Indigenous science is cool. Knowledge is cool. Imagination is cool.

Isa White is from Snuneymuxw First Nation. She proudly embraces her Coast Salish, Nuu-Chah-Nulth & Mi'kmaq heritage and carries the traditional names Tlaa'kwaa & Hola'nahmit. She is Kwulasulwut Dr. Ellen White's great-granddaughter. Isabella is a leader in her community, giving lots of her time to sports and taking care of children. She is also a world traveler who has visited many different parts of the world. Isabella has done a number of media projects, from the Indigenous video at the Four Host Nations Pavilion during the 2010 Olympics, as well as fashion shows and cultural events and plays.

Indigenous science flows from stories and places. At Coyote Science, our Questers learn from Indigenous Scientists and Knowledge Holders, sharing their knowledge with children at home! We also provide easy, DIY experiments to try at home, brought to you by our science Kai and his brother, An’ostin, sometimes with help from Coyote.

Renowned Dr. John Herrington, Chickasaw astronaut, and excellent science educator brings his extensive knowledge to the segment we call "Where in the World is John Herrington?" Coyote Science is driven by ideas, integrity, and energy. We collaborate with the best creative minds and talents. Tawow!


John Herrington is from the Chickasaw Nation and served as a NASA astronaut aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour's STS-113 mission. He spent over 330 hours in space, including three spacewalks totaling 19 hours and 55 minutes. After retiring from NASA, he rode a bike across America, visiting Indigenous communities to inspire Indigenous youth to pursue science and math. Now Dr. John Herrington, having received his Ph.D. in Education,  Dr. John Herrington continues his work in Indigenous science education.
